E34 M5 exhaust options

I need to replace the factory exhaust on the M5 as it's reached the end of it's life now.

BMW OEM exhausts are very very good, so good in fact I'm worried I will get a power loss if we just "make one up"

Any ideas?

Could you not duplicate it exactly as is, with equiv part numbers from bosal and or.. ?

You cant go and buy 92,000,000 for a BMW exhaust

Well I would need a loan to buy an OEM one and I wouldnt out of principle, it's something like R40K +

BMW did a right number on this thing I couldn't even begin to copy, to start it's like 76mm pipe that not many machines can bend, and there's two triangular mufflers to fit in the tiny space then a really giant L shaped muffler and then a rather large rear box that's also shaped.

I wonder what kind of patchwork repair I can do or get done.....

I know there are guys here in SA that make mufflers to any shape by cutting and welding stainless steel, but I don't know who they are.

Well that would be the other thing, it's double skinned, but we will certainly try and see what we can do.

Eisenmann seems like a popular choice. Maybe a little loud though?
