i am was having an idea to give my car some more guts/bite
i want to install a electric fan.
1.will this help Power Wise?
2.how much???
3.who and where can i have it done?

It will give you maybe 1-2kw extra, thats it. It will increase your throttle response though.

Do a search on the FAN DELETE MOD on bimmerforums.com to get all the pros-cons. This mod however has more pros than cons.

I can do the conversion for you.

R200 80deg thermostat
R500 80/88deg thermostat switch
R500 18" slimline electric fan

Yes I can fit and reccommend it. I did AndrewBuch's e36 last week, he's very happy with it.

i am relocating to JHB end march i will most def come and see you as well as i am hiving a ecu fitter i am rather intrested to see the performance gain thus far my plans are 1

1.electric fan
2.ecu
i have already done the K&n air filter in my stock box as well as a snorkle to the opening of the air box.

at the moment i am doing 0-100 in +/- 7.9/ 8.5 ??
what else do you recomend ps e34 520

I would recommend the Fan delete mod . Few reasons for me..

1) noticed a difference in the drive ability ie in 3rd gear cruising around I have to go into 2nd less than i used to.
2) with the 2 electric fans, less chance of overheating. and i have a wire to activate both fans on fastest setting if i even encounter overheating problems...
3) now there is more space to work in my engine bay (4cyl engine)
