Hi gents, i have a funny problem with my bmw, when it's cold it starts and idles at about 800rpm, then drops to 500/600rpm after a couple of seconds, but when i rev it gently it doesn't respond properly, drive the car for a while, when i stop and try to start it again, it cranks but does not fire, remove the fuel supply pipe,it does pump fuel through, but not firing... after a while it then starts,long time.today morning started it and left it idling for close to 20minutes, switched it off,started it and it failed...
could it be the fuel pump?
the fuel pump relay?
the injectors?
please help....
stressed:bawling:

Manifold leak or crank sensor.

On my E34 540i I could unplug the cam sensor and drive the car just fine, took a few extra swings to start but that's all.

it's not starting at all after driving, or idling for more than 5 to 15 minutes, after a long time with the key off and the car switched off, it then starts. switch it off, doesn't want to start again, it just cranks.

Start her up, wait till the rpm drops, take a short piece of hosepipe, stick one end to your ear, and use the other end to listen for vacuum leaks. If you can't find one, replace crank position sensor.

Good day gents, i finally found out what was causing the car not to start first time, it was the engine temperature sensor, i replaced the throttle body gasket as suggested, the car ran beautifully but the problem still persisted, sorted the temp sensor out and its now running beautifully.
My servo steering stopped working due to a bad short which occured in the bumper (front) there is a wiring loom which runs behind the radiator in the front bumper, it has power wires for the hooter and lights, the insulation on that loom came off, the cable ties broke off due to weather conditions, the loom was loose and it started shaving which ended up causing a short which affected the cars fans, the servo pump, the remote central locking,fuse 28 will always blow.
if your E34 starts acting funny just check the loom in between the radiator and front bumper.

Hi Guys!!!
I have problems with my Baby (BMW 1995 320i E36) no power at the fuel pump fuse, I thought it was a fuel pump relay, I changed the relay and the 15A fuel fuse. Still no luck, I tested the fuel pump direct to the battery it pumps, I checked the fuel filter and the fuel lines and everything is clean and the fuel is running well, the fuel reaches the injectors housing (I hear a buzz or fuel running by the injectors) only few injectors opens or supply fuel to the fuel manifold, could it be that my injectors are dead? {If it’s injectors anyone selling them at a reasonable price? }

But why there’s no power on the fuel fuse. What could be faulty, the fuel pump, fuel relay, injectors? Please help this is stressing me, cause the car can’t start, and there’s no reliable BMW diagnose in Hammanskraal, I don’t want any chancers on my Baby, they may ruin my computer box or some sensors. Please Help, Please Guys I need advises, I saw some forums this seems to be common but no one posted the solution to this problem. Please I'm in need of your suggestions, Thanks in advance
