Let me share a TLGP story. And let me clearly state that I had no victory only Fun :joy: and it was a good gauge to see what the car is like on the streets.
So Tonight was the first night that I took the car out on a date, long story, friends were involved etc... So after sushi at CTFM Girlfriend and myself drive home and I was telling her how I miss my 'Robot dicing' days in the golfie, and I should go prowl with "Stompie" to look for challenges. And at the very next set of lights Low and Behold a stunning silver C63 AMG.
Now a lot of details were involved but long story short I saw what was coming and put foot to get to the lights. The merc was standing at the lights waiting so I didn't want to slip up a rare chance.
I was still in motion rolling over slowly (+/- 5kph) but wanted to get the drivers attention so pulled up next to him "as the lights were changing" revved it and indicated to go!
In all fairness it was a sudden "Invite" form my side so I went for it 80% waiting to see his reaction. And when I saw his nose tip up and the lights closing I went for it 100%.
I started ahead by 1-2lengths through 1st - 70kph 6800rpm to 2nd 110kph 7000rpm to 3rd 170 kph 7000rpm (almost snatching 4th) but then had to slam brakes and down gear for the lights. The downgearing did induce a slight unintended sideways slide so I just clutched and braked. We exchanged some words with both giving thumbs up for being sports.
He was gaining on me though from 2nd without a doubt. If the lights were 400m further he would've passed me, sonder sukkel, but it was a great feeling imagining I'm running in the leagues of the likes of a C63 AMG :joy:
We were both impressed by both our cars and I did have a rolling start, and I'm pretty sure he'll just kill off the line with a better launch. I asked him to have another go, this time from standstill for both of us, but he didn't and took the highway onramp just before the next lights.
Epic fun though. That just made my night.
Well done to the merc, a king in many many ways

Nice Andy glad you are really starting to enjoy her now. Unless I missed it who did you exhaust for you. And how and what are you doing to those cracks on the dash.
Also did you and Coisman go the Pta west to day.
I am Henry very much so. I feel I put in more TLC and less "Raping" the car to sway the balance in making the car last longer.
I got this little vinyl repair kit from Midas that uses a superglue type glue and 4 different sets of coloured fine powder/granules.
So you pour the powder and add the glue and it makes a superhot bonding. You actually see the stuff heat up and smoke. Bonding the cracks together.
I then sand it down using fine grit and to finish it use PLASTI DIP. Which BTW if no one has read it yet, is now available in all builders warehouse outlets. Just cover up around the window and other areas you dont want rubber on :=): If you can manage a seamless spray it blends fantastic on the black vinyl.
It is experimental though and I'm not happy with some of the cracks as the powder wasn't fully compacted and fell through a bit leaving more cracks.
Will get to it sometime. It sure looks better then those gaping holes.
