E30 Fuel Gauge & Dashboard Lights

Hi there my fellow Bavarian's

My car's fuel gauge doesn't work. Does anybody have any suggestions on
what it could be. The other thing is my dash lights. The speedometer lights up but the rev counter doesn't.

Any advice is appreciated as I don't know too much of my car yet but I'm
getting there.

for Fuel Gauge, check the mechanism that fits into the tank..under the back seat

On my previous E30 the dash lights dit not work either. It was the bulps that burned out. Easy fix. The fuel guage can be bad contacts on the Pc board or as CNBM mentioned the unit inside the tank.
