E30 Brake upgrade

How you can say upgrading from 20 year old brakes the size of bicycle brakes, to New calipers and much larger discs will have worse stopping distance?:nono:

i have upgraded my disks on my e 30 and the master cylinder with a bigger one and i don't have back brakes locking up
my car will stop with any new model bmw and even out brake some

he sourced the parts for me.
I paid R6k For parts and install + fluids and bleeding. The mech also did some work on my prop replacing some rubbers inlcuded in that price.
Very good price IMO. And excellent work.
He left the origional brackets in place incase I wana go back to stock some day.
He does excellent work! he does all the work on my car and I would definately recomend him to any1 in pretoria!

Sorry bumping up old post, have you perhaps still have this guys number who does the upgrade/modification work in pretoria?

To any one who is interested, I finally did the upgrade!

All bmw parts, Calipers are from e90 330
and the discs are from (afaik) a JCW cooperS.

I havent had a chance to drive her yet. Getting her back this afternoon!

Can you, please, give me more information about this set up. It is realy interesting. Is it bolt on, or you need to do some modifications / brakets for the caliper? Also I check the brake disc sprecification and is about 45mm "thick", wich is spuppouse to to hit the lower control arm. Is there any spacers between the wheel hub and the brake disc?

What wheel size is the minimum? Can you go lower than 17"? Thank you
