Considering this car's rarity nowadays I think he can reach that price.

I hav heard of iS's changing hands at higher amounts & this is effectively more rare. BUT all depends on the originality of all parts still on this car.

I know it's an old post.....link now removed from the gum.....
Just an input from an E28 lover (so my opinion probably bias)....

That car was very neat, so was worth every penny....the dashboard on this model isthe full leather covered dash and the sun tends to cause slight lifting at the front vents....only noticeable to a trained eye.....so nothing major....

Only 96 of the E28 M5 were produced in S.A. and with many probably buried from over enthusiastic boy racers back in the day....and some maybe going to our neighbouring countries? Probably very few left in mzanzi.....

On the m-registry website there's only 4 or 5 registered.....but maybe not all owners registered their m's there!

Anyways.......curious to know if someone from the club bought that beauty....
If so pm me and we can chat....just found a guy with loads of E28 spares....

Not sure as it's double stitched, have seen some e30's with covered dashes but all very shoddy!

I'm also looking for a good upholstery guy....but have had no feedback from guys on the forum as yet.

Bit pricey but the car is a legend in its own right. Also, they dont make em like they used to! Modern BMWs are made to last just out of Motorplan and then flogged off to some poor chap to maintain. These older ones, they last and last don't they?:thumbs:
