e24 upgrade

The e24 6 series bms were available with straight six motors . Has anybody ever put a M60 V8 motor and box in one of the e24 cars ? IMHO this would be a good replacement for the M30 6-cylinder , E32 and e34 drivetrain could be used .:thumbs:

It looks like it's been done a few times after a quick Google. Looks like a lot of work though. Personally I think I would try and use the early M62 motors as they are a little more reliable :thumb:

The M60 has been put in an e30 shell . The e24 has a M30B35 straight six , not sure about width though .
