E 30 knock sensor

Hi guys. Took my 1990 e30 320i to mech, issues with slow throttle response and loss of acceleration while driving. He said the knock sensor is faulty. Does anyone know where the sensor is located ? Also where can I find good secondhand airflow meter?

I don't think those cars came with knocks sensors ESP back in 1990.. But someone else will correct me..

get a mechanic that know what he talking about the e 30 never had a knock censor

Lol.. E30 has no knock sensor as the others said..

perhaps he meant something else when he said knock sensor.. if not.. then I would be wary of his e30 knowledge.. :thumbs:

thanks guys, figured out the problem, coolant temp sensor and afm tracks were worn, repaired afm and cleaned idle control valve and replaced coolant temp sensor, runs like a charm. anyone on this forum tried turbocharging or supercharging a 320 i ?
