Ok fair enough. So there are no cylinder heads cracking. Zero. Since 2006, zero documented cases of cylinder heads cracking that I know of. If someone else knows of any, then please come forward for the sake of the community.

mine was obviously not documented, so i am coming forward for the sake of the community :fencelook:

Here' another car that went from 204kw to 261kw on wheels with sw only & on pump fuel & is still driving fine after 2 years:

mine was fine for 4 years

anyway. i know the risks of tuning, but the power of a tuned x35i is something to behold. the rewards far outweigh the risks. if i knew back then what i know now, the only thing i would change on my car is i would get hardware mods if i was going to boost over 12 or 13psi.

What sorta mileage is your car doing bud?

Normal driving (hardly happens) = 380 to a tank
Bat out of hell = 320 to a tank

Just to had my penny, The only issues I had with my car was fuel pump, damaged vacuum line and wastegate issues related to vacuum solenoids.

I have been driving with the tune on for close to 100k with no issues.

I have seen an N54 with damaged rings with software only but it was not Xcede nor JB. Car just reached 100 000km and started smoking badly it was very strong with it's tune. With me having JB & dp it used to be about 1 car ahead of me up to 250 from a 100km/h. This car had software only and unfortunately engined lasted only 100 000km's, not sure if it is sw related.

At end of the day a flash tune or pnp can damage your engine. If it is not set up right it can damage your engine. Luckily for me I have a tuner that knows what he is talking about and doing. This gives me peace of mind as I wont let anyone scratch on my car. Dankie xcede
