Just wanna know , how busy is Durban during easter holidays and places to visit ( excluding Ushaka Marine and Gateway Shopping Center).

is Premier Hotel Pinetown nice?

Trip : Venda to Durban - iirc it will be over 1000km drive.

Went to Premier Hotel for a conference not so long ago, was very pleasant in and around the hotel but I did not see the rooms.
Maybe go view it before booking in, I doubt they will be full up.

ok. already booked. Other nice hotels fully booked during easter holidays.

I would stay in Umhlanga, but at this late stage I doubt you will find any of the hotels there with rooms available for the easter period.

as for what to do... We usually just end up being beach bums. Malls are far too busy to enjoy, only retreat there when sustenance is required.

Lots to do and see in Durban and surrounds during Easter holidays. Premier is a decent option and within close proximity to most places. Why don't you tell us a bit more about your family composition ie. small kids will enjoy different stuff from teenagers. That way we can recommend places to see and things to do :thumbs:

And there's a Wakkaberry in Rosebank. Personally I don't see what the big deal is! It's average at best haha. Just my opinion though.

Lots to do and see in Durban and surrounds during Easter holidays. Premier is a decent option and within close proximity to most places. Why don't you tell us a bit more about your family composition ie. small kids will enjoy different stuff from teenagers. That way we can recommend places to see and things to do :thumbs:

Try some of these places as your little girl and wife will enjoy it

1) take a drive through the Valley of a Thousand Hills. Very scenic route with lots of stop points for refreshments. Not a very long drive. Can be done in a few hours including stopping for pics / refreshments.

2) Crocworld near Scottburgh

3) Makaranga restuarant near Hillcrest

4) Harbour cruise in the afternoon. Leaves from Wilson Wharf in Central Durban.

5) day at the beach. Lots of different spots to choose from

6) visit the Moses Mabida stadium and go up the arches on the cable car. Do a bungee jump if you up for it.....down for it :rollsmile:
