Dump valve sound at low revs

Hi Guys

Quick question when at low revs 1-1.500 rpm in one and you about to take off. Can you hear spool sound from your 135i, i have a 2009 manual N54 stock no intake or tune. i had the DV replaced apparently there was something wrong with it.

Quick question when at low revs 1-1.500 rpm in one and you about to take off. Can you hear spool sound from your 135i, i have a 2009 manual N54 stock no intake or tune. i had the DV replaced apparently there was something wrong with it.

On most cars you can hear a slight spool up of the turbos. No one really knows what's considered normal. On a Z4 I once worked on that was brand new it was pretty evident. The dealers replaced the turbos and the sound on the new ones was the same.
There are some videos on YouTube if you search N54 siren sound. That's what they sound like when they on their way out.
