Driving pleasure musing

I have now had a E46 330i for about 9 months and have nothing but fun with her. The car delivers its power in a insistent, smooth non-brutal fashion.
I am getting very used to the power though, which I suppose is inevitable.

Want more power, the old story.

So, recently I got an offer to passenger in a Yellow E92 M3. My first time in a E92, nevermind an M3 E92. Good lord in heaven above!!!!!!! :excited: If only I can stretch my measly budget. The car blew my mind. Amazing.

So I got back into my E46 baby.... Yeah, shes my baby, feels slow after the M3 mind-F dont you baby. Yeah... *sigh*

I have been saving up to buy some nice new rubber, but since I replaced the front control arm bushings and whatnot, I am noticing a annoying 2cm "play" on the steering wheel. :thinker: Obviously this distracts a bit from the crisp BMW driving pleasure I am used to... *sigh*, alas I hope it is not too serias.

Whoa! if I were you, I would check that they have reconnected everything after dropping the control arms. about 2cm play is HUGE!

No, it doesn't really... haven't noticed that happening.

I do hope they did. So maybe it is more like 1.5cm... it's noticeable. I am a bit concerned about the reaction here...

i know how you feel man... the 330 is a great car
but after driving an e46 M & e92 M, i now suffer from insomnia:thumbsup:
that constant, smooth rush of acceleration all the way to redline, And the noise it makes is a tad soft but f**king insane, mind you... the thought of straight pipes on an e92 is "pure sex" as the yanks would say it

i would love feel the surge of a well tuned 335 too

Fk, we live in a generation where some awesome cars exist:excited::excited:

My mates e46 steering wheel does a quick movement to the side whenever he hits a speed hump, is that something serious?

ye, either control arm bushings or a dead shock or soft spring or could very likely be a torn shock mounting. all posiblities.. check em all
