I’ve been trying to “book a slot” for about 4 weeks now - there are never any slots available.

Is there any way of doing this normally, or does a “booking service” have to be used (it’s pretty obvious that there is no slots since these vultures block-book everything, they even have “specials” on their site where you have to accept any slot they give you at half their fee).

I had the same issue when booking for my son’s learners licence. Only advice I can give is to check every day at 10:00am and again at 12:00pm. But make sure you’re quick with filling in the details and unfortunately you will have to check which venues have an available date.

LOL its a mission, I eventually got a booking in Carltonville from Edenvale, but there it was so quick and easy process it was worth the drive in my opinion

I think I’ll rather get a fine and contest it In court than go to carletonville to renew my card.

BTW I’ve been trying daily at the times they mention, no luck. It’s about on par with trying to buy an Ampere GPU.

They release the slots at certain times.
I literally had the same issue, apparently the slots are 08h0p and 12h00.

You have to be fast.

Currently the best time to check is 12h00 and 16h00.

Some testing stations are also opened on Saturday and Sunday, like the one in Kagiso.

I tried a few days in a row and you literally need to be online when they release the slots. I drove to Meyerton from Randburg, was worth it tho, was done in an hour whereas in Randburg, you would wait in que for 4 hours. Would rather spend time on the road than stand in a que

The key is to stay logged in, you need to click back and then next to get to the venue list. That is the only way it refreshes.

Not sure on that side, but here in the West, the DLTC's won't take walk ins.
