"Drive train ..Full Performance Not Available"

Thank you for responses.
Within the last two weeks: Timing chain kit, Valve stem seals, oil and filter change, iridium plugs.
After that, DP and SW was done.
I was just informed by a BMW Tech that it is the turbo and something to do with the internal wastegate causing boost loss.
Does it sound about right? Apparently the rattle is coming from the wastegate not closing properly upon acceleration.

Mileage is on 120k KM with a FSH at SMG. one previous owner.
Check the Diverter Valve - these are a common problem on the N13 turbo.
there are plenty aftermarket solutions if im not mistaken (ie. GFB DV+), which are relatively cost effective as opposed to a new turbo.

Is the power output of 118i 2016 100kw? If so, what are good options for better performance. I’m thinking of plug in chip, air intake filter, and removing the cat. Please advise on what’s the best Route and which suppliers to use.
