But still, very reckless, and the "spectators" in that area stand close to the action usually.

The fact that there is mention of this is enough to warrant suspicion of illegal racing.

I'm sorry but any stupid retarded IDIOT that accepts SUSPICION as a fact that insurance isn't paying him out deserves it for being ignorant, especially if he knows,in all truth, that he wasn't racing

Suspicion will lead to an investigation.

Which unless proven in FACT, shouldn't have the owner worried if he knows true and clear he wasn't racing, breaking the law or conditions of his policy

there's a chance insurance wont pay since the number plate is displayed in the pics all over the net and the news claims it was drag racing/speeding related.

That may be true. But nobody can prove what speed he was travelling without a doubt unless there is some video footage. The article mentions that it was not drag racing. The BMW also had the right of way, not the Yaris.

But still, very reckless, and the "spectators" in that area stand close to the action usually.

Unless he has a tracker paid for by his insurance company...

Also it seems the media are NOT saying it was drag racing, but rather that the spectators were there for drag racing which is a distinct difference.

922-ZN regardless of what happens, the owner is not going to sleep easily until this is resolved. Unfortunately because of the location and coverage it is likely to be looked at under the microscope. Some insurance companies believe it or not don't always care about the facts... just those facts that are likely to minimize their exposure - which is why so many recommend brokers and why so many have stories of long drawn out battles to settle claims.

If he was only a little bit over the limit and not racing, then most of the time even with tracker data they will pay out. If he was properly speeding/driving recklessly then that is a different story. No fatalities is good news and more good news that there is footage of the Polo performing an illegal maneuver. If he was racing (easy to see over a period of time from the telemetry as the car would be starting/stopping, moving repeatedly in the same pattern/area etc) he is SOL...

****UPDATE

sooo alot of time has passed i felt people should know what had transpired!!:chef:

i was fast, sober, not racing!:fencelook:

so i happen to come across a race between a rs3 and a mazda mps, lots of you Durban guys would know these 2!:biglol:
when i was passing these 2, they were stopping to launch and proceed with "their race" i had no dealing with them or put no effort into braking to stop with them! so the picture- im ahead of the drag race before it even started:praise:

when i came up to the famous intersection it was clear, no cars crossing no cars i the lanes, it was empty, just the usual people on the sides, and then comes MR Polo from the side of makro/oncoming turning into the garage, a normal person would stop, this guy slowed down and continued maybe not calculating my speed correctly or purely reckless, never the less i was too late to even think about swerving or braking and drove straight into him, fliping my car on to traffic and bystanders and stooped by the god sent robot! this accident is the most common for this area to date!

as for insurance, they would not pay on basis of drag racing, time of accident, media and social media that was widespread , and ruled out all possibilities of the obvious accident that took place!

god has given us another chance!
anyway going forward drama was not over
the rs3 driver claims debris damage from ME
the mazda driver has since dissapeard to prove this
the polo driver could not be found at the accident scene immediately but his representative did pitch up after a while!
