DP and Software Recs in JHB

Hi All,

So I've noticed as my E90 320D N47 hits 19300k, that it is feeling more and more sluggish and especially low down. I suspect the cat is blocked or getting blocked as I've ran the codes multiple times and come up with nothing. Physically outside of some oil pushing out of the turbo side boost pipe, havent noticed much else.

With that, I'm Edenvale based, where would be a good place to have the DP done for a decent quality/price and then software? I know the software especially is a difficult topic, but all I'm looking for is a mild, safe tune that will keep the car moving along  :fencelook:

I'm open to all suggestions!

People are quite split on this but if you go with Madness Motorsport you'll be very happy, and JuJu customs for your downpipe and hardware then you'll be a happy camper. Car will feel fresh again in terms of power.

Hey bud,

So firstly, you want to remove the DPF and cat, replace with the downpipe but immediately open up the feed pipes and replace those turbo seals...while doing that remove both intercooler sides and give it a good clean and check the seals and o-rings on those as well. For that mileage, the clean and change will definitely not hurt them and will also tick a box for you in terms of preventative maintenance iv it is not totally damaged or leaking. (I would reckon visit @"Danny@DSCmotorsport" for this, plenty guys have been his way and have gotten good service).

Once that front side is all sorted, you would then want to sort out the DP afterwards and get software loaded. You would want to use a vendor who can read your car, ID and take your map and custom write it to your specs.

Once you do downpipe, consider also removing the middlebox as well, for the nice, deep tone and also the spool up is just that much better (i am biased from when I did mine ha ha ha).

Good luck bud...

There are a few good vendors on our forum...Xcede, Madness etc...you will be spoilt for choice. Whichever you go for, hope you get what you looking for and enjoy the mods!

I did my downpipe and exhaust with BYM fabrication they’re in kempton. And software from madness Motorsport they’re in Edenvale. Very happy with the service, the prices and the results from both.

As mentioned, first go to @"Danny@DSCmotorsport" and get a clean bill of health on the car.
Then get your DP done at the likes of Power Pipes, TMSS or Xflow. You pay for what you get so rather pay a premium and get quality work done the first time around. I got my second DP done at Power Pipes recently and I wanted to mount it on the wall it looked so beautifully made.

Software I would recommend Xcede in Jhb. @"Sherwin@xcede" will sort you out quickly.

Firstly, apologies for the late response to all. I've had a sadly dramatic few months.

Thanks to all for the advise, I'm going to visit @"Danny@DSCmotorsport" and take it from there, hopefully all is in order and I can move onto the DP and software!
