Down Pipe done E90 330D

Hi Everyone,

just wanted to give some feedback on the excellent job done by Powerflow Pipes Randburg, My car went yesterday for the down pipe to be removed, I liaised with Akshay who gave me a good price, as promised I dropped the car at 07:30. When I went to collect the car it was still on the ramp, He took me to show me the new downpipe, like the polish finish :blowheart:, Car feels sooooo much more free now, also a slight tone, lol, I must say really happy with the service. Would recommend them to anyone,

With that being said, car is going to RK motion this Saturday for Software, Cant wait, will give more feedback,

Lastly I think I am addicted now, so I want to do more,
I want to know, Should I remove the back box on the exhaust or the middle box, I am not quiet keen on removing both as yet, also don't want to affect fuel consumption too much,

My car has stock pipe and downpipe, so I can’t comment.

Maybe @low_flyer can assist..

Hi OP, did you get any errors after doing the Downpipe? I'm told I have to do the sw first else my car is going to limp

Lekker bud! You'll enjoy it a lot after sw! I'll say add the back section as well. Did they give you a price on that? And do you mind sharing it? Adding one on my car Feb so would like to know as Rogue Performance charged me 7.5k.

Remove the back box. Then you can fit some tail pieces

Remove the backbox it will give the car a nice grunt with no drone:thumbs:

Did it a few months ago and I'm not complaining.

Haven't noticed any fuel consumption increase except driving harder to hear the exhaust and the turbo spool sound which is awesome...

Previously I had 76mm with 2 boxes from powerflow.

I'll add full exhaust on mine feb. Also have a 320d. So you can keep an eye out on mine as well.

Hey Clifton, nice to see you starting the mods on the 330d! If you remember my 330d I had when we did software on your 320d back in the day, that car had a straight pipe all the way through and I loved it like that!

No problem Cliff, if you want tone.., you need to listen to @Rayzor car

but Rays car is LCI, so that setup might not sound exactly the same on the Pre lci

I am interested in knowing what kind of economy you are getting with the pre LCI E90 330d's as i battled to get more than 13/14km/l on the road at 120kph. Ok, mine was still under MP so could not remove cat, etc. Did have software done after MP but sold it shortly afterwards. Did not notice any economy gain after SW, but you get SW and then SW. Feedback will be appreciated, thanks.
