The E39 has a spare wheel :tease: :fencelook:

:tease:
Must be the heavy spare wheel that makes the E39 530d slower than my 320d

:fencelook:

2kg+ on each tire is worse because it is unsprung rotational mass

F30's with dipsticks. :bravo:
But the seats rust. :fencelook:
And how much oil do these new F30's consume?

Car debt... No car debt...? :dunno:

For me its no car debt and not having a ridiculously depreciating asset. I'd rather drive a citi golf till I could afford something nicer, but each to their own. Also some people finance for budgeting.

Yes I understand not everyone can afford one but realy dont shoot the F30 down because of that. Half of the F30 is mine and the other half the Bank. Hell but we only live once so enjoy the ride. All BMW's were the best in thier time just some a bit more problems than others. For example in my eyes the e90 was a bit of an dissapointment(no spare, no dipstick, no heat gauge, and the passanger side dash kept knocking my knees)

One day when the F30 is more affordable then you will understand.

:fencelook:
Come now where are the rest of the F30 drivers on the Forum?

From an outsiders perspective having not owned an E90 or F30 I must say I do prefer the F30 from what I have seen... Overall it just seems like a better package and at some stage in my life I will probably own one :=):

The Diesel E90s have dipsticks? And I don't think the F30s have spares do they? And not all the F30 diesels have dipsticks either... I would really like an oil temp gauge though.

Is it possible to code one on the computer?

To be honest, space savers are not such a bad plan since many BMW's have the narrow and wide set up, so a full size would ultimately only be "ideal" for the front. Now the flip side of the story, you have a space spacer and have to use it, while you are on a trip and fully packed, and it's a rear wheel that needs the space saver - things are going to get interesting finding space for the not so space saving rear wheel!
