E46's came in a 320d and 330d in RSA. Hence why the confusion when you quoted 318d.... ;)

E90 comes in a 318d M Sport plus, complete with graphite 18s, M sport suspension, sport seats , chunky steering and gear knob.... Fantastic car with great handling and 55 mpg

M sport was offered across the entire E90 range in SA. Unfortunately, some of the diesel models did not make it to our shores, including the 318d and 335d. There was also the brilliant 123d in the previous 1 series shape that we did not get.

That's correct... BMW have missed a trick on the 335d launch in SA- as exciting as the petrol version

A tuned 330d is not far off though. However 2 turbos is still > 1 turbo

On Zee contrary Mein Herr
Its powered by a 3.0-liter, twin turbo, inline six-cylinder advanced diesel engine that puts out 265 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic is the only transmission choice. Capable of 0-60mph ( 0-100kms) acceleration in 6.0 seconds

BMW Car magazine results:

0-60:
335i - 5.6
335d - 5.6
mapped 335i - 5.2
mapped 335d - 5.3

0-100
335i - 13.6
335d - 13.3
mapped 335i - 11.7
mapped 335d - 11.9

I told you they missed a tricks and yes, 2 turbos is better than 1

Yep, I recall asking a salesman why they didn't bring it in and got a story about our poor diesel quality, yet there was a X5 35d sitting on the floor with the same motor in it - idiots!

The X3 came in Motorsport also, here is mine its a 07 ,its a nice package but if you on a bumpy road the suspension is rock hard you need to put on the safety belt if you plan on driving with the roof open or you will bounce out

:thumbdo: we also missed out on the 325d the 525d and a couple of others I have seen in Europe and India. BMW SA decided that we did not have a choice. :thumbdo:
