Is there no OEM upgrade available?
The e36 M3 3.0 can use 3.2 discs which are of a better design.
The e46 M3 can use e46 CSL discs which are 355mm with little modification.
The M Coupe may also have a simple update available when swopping OEM parts.

Yep thats what I meant by a small modification. The CSL carriers are $211 per sided and cheap to ship. The difference in price between CSL discs and regular is also minimal.

So stealers want R1056 incl, after the 15% discount for the front pads

and

R640 incl, after the 15% discount for the rear pads.

Still waiting for a price on discs.

Still going to have a look if the discs need to be skimmed.

Thanks again for all your guys input and advice.

Something that I have seen guys do, though this was on e46 M3's, but might be able to get to work on your car as well. What they do is they pair a set of Z4M (coupé or vert) discs, they are the same as the CSL discs (345x28mm) then they pair that with the callipers from a 335i.

Thanks Sank

Sounds interesting. Would maybe have to look into something like that.

Brand new M discs from stealers = R5200.00 for all four.

Looking at about R7k for everything - parts alone.ie from Stealers

There is quite a prominent lip on all four of my discs and i'm not entirely sure wether you could skim them as they'd be very thin once you done skimming them.

From the dealers the CSL discs are something like R5600 for a pair of front ones, so pretty expensive.

Thats odd, last I checked on CSL discs they were only a few hundred more then standard e46 m3 discs. This was in 2011, so maybe things have changed.

Might also be different between dealers, but there is no way to peg down BMW prices, one day it is this, the next it is something completely different.
