Evening Gents.

Need advice, i got a 2A13 and 2A18 Code's when scanning and found that my DMTL Pump could be faulty as both are DMTL Pump Relatyed, Been doing alot of homework and R&D and wanted to know where the pump sits, some say its behind the front left wheel arch, then Rear Driver Side Wheel arch so im abit stumped, Seems like a cheap DIY fix, i want to have it sorted for preventative maintenance.

I also seemed to have gotten this code today

Some research says it could be caused from back end flashes
Read suggests that we flash back to stock and ref lash backend flash via mhd.

For some reason if u switch between BMS flashes and other flashes the files pick up that dime is uk and not euro which are our cars.

I'm yet to try this fix of flashing to stock and then reflashing the back end.
No harm in trying

Don't go looking for that part because you won't find it... The dtml is a part of a charcoal filter design used in the US build cars... When Terry from Bms designed the back end flashes he used the US cars version as a base because that's what was available to him... This dtml code is built into the base file and the dme is just looking for the pump to activate as part of its emissions cycle. It was apparently turned of in the latest versions of the BMS flashes. You can delete and move on...

Makes sense cause I don't find it on my VIN with realoem. I Do delete the codes and move on but they keep coming back as shadow codes.

I'm assuming I get the latest version of the BMS flashes from N54tech ?

Hi Guys

I got the same code and coincidentally also went to the dealership yesterday to buy a DTML pump. Their part system showed that my particular model (2009 e93) wasnt built with that part and country wide in the last 6 years they've only sold 1 unit. So if you really want one for whatever reason, they have to import and costs R2700.

Thanks Kish2604 and the rest for the information and settling my mind at ease about this code. Makes perfect sense and glad i can cross that off my maintenance list.

Take it easy
D
