DMF + Clutch Replacement please give advice, not paying R33k

Good Day Gents

Almost a year driving the 335i with minimal issues, two months ago a shitty place replaced my clutch and said nothing about the flywheel, now the new clutch they installed is going as well, slipping and burning

I need a new Flywheel and clutch installed but getting some crazy prices from the dealers R33k was the quote but saw on the forums members did these years ago for under R15k any recommendations? I just need a cheaper solution to the flywheel as I was Quoted R22k for the Dual mass Flywheel

Bud get the Luk flywheel or Sachs from star brake and clutch edenvale its about 10k and order the 550I clutch from BMW which is an upgrade not sure on price but it was reasonable, Karsh on the forum recently had this done.

I believe the 330D clutch is stronger or is the 550i a recently discovered upgrade ? Not sure ?

550I is stronger, upgrade has been around for a while but most guys are dct or auto so you dont hear about the manual stuff often

I got in contact with Chris from CCD he will give me a quote tomorrow, Yes the Manuals are rare, that's why I love this car so much and forking out cash is no problem but R34k is ridiculous, flywheel R22k alone, Will speak to him about the upgraded clutch as well

Had the clutch and dual mass flywheel on my 3l Z4 replaced at ZF in the Cape about a year ago. I supplied the d/m flywheel which i bought from Goldwagen in Strand for R5400 iirc (LuK) and ZF supplied the clutch kit and labour. Total cost was just under R14k (includes the R5400 for the dmf). Cost of flywheel alone from stealers would have been R13k!!! I think that ZF did me a BIG favour as i have been doing some business with them for a few years now, but still, try them for a quote.

Called the Goldwagen's around Pretoria and they do not keep the clutch will keep in mind when getting quoted thanks Solo Man
