congrats , serviced my one yesterday morning , oil and filters , and went out and enjoyed it immensely , had some of the newer bmw's trying to stay with me on certain roads but could see them falling behind , even a run on the N1 and onto the onramp with what I thought was an a4 which turned out to be an S3 [they look the same in your rearview mirror] trying to catch up .A pity about the interior build quality of these cars , reminds me a lot of my Alfas , I still drive my e36 more than my e46 M , And of course don't forget how practical the E36 is , you can go on holiday everywhere and not worry because the car has a full spare and jack kit , I still have nightmares about hitting potholes in the countryside with my e46 M and then having to wait for AA and trying afterwards to find a 19inch tyre in some dorpie.
