Hi All,

just took out my DISA valve and found its broken actually missing the flap and the holding screw. The actuator arm is also broken looking closely at this thing tells me that previous owner had issues with this but did a quick fix or maybe never even put it back the way it is now.

see for yourselves:

BMW wants R2994.60 for this part - I have called Goldwagen in Robertsham and they dont keep stock. From what I see I have the old part number which has been discontinued. Is there anywhere else where I can get this or any of you that have one lying around???

very common problem this... you could look at importing one should still be cheaper than the dealer...

Hope the previous owner didn't fit a badly repaired Disa valve such that the flap and so on got somehow ingested into the intake. Yep, importing is probably your best bet!

@Phillip my suspicion is that the flap is inside intake - because i can hear a rattle when the car is on. Which is why I got to the DISA valve out in the 1st place together a rough idling symptom i have on cold start - so I could check. Can the flap be taken out of the manifold?

Seems like this cooling issue / cylinder head repair is starting to reveal the shenanigans of the previous driver. While I was taking out the DISA I noticed this just behind the intake pipe - just hanging there >>>>

I have no clue whether its supposed to be plugged in somewhere... Any insight?
