Dilemma

I fly into the country on the 15th... and 16th is the Killarney Open track day.

MCoupe is due for a service... amber light. The break fluid light is on. And its been over a year since the last service...

:cursin: Looks like I am going to miss the track day. And then I am gone before the next one:banghead:

But should I risk it... just go easy.

Sent off a mail to Zeemax too see if I can have the car sent in next week. Will have to get someone to send in and pick up the car. I am sure my dad would love too drive it slowly down to Zeemaz;)

Just don't like sending my car somewhere without being there to inspect before taking it home. So not happy about sending it for service... but trackday with old oil is not going to be good.

You should be able to get over the oil change.. Its not a crisis.

But if your brake fluid is old, you could experiance brake fade, they wont fail, but they wont be their best.

S54s have a habit of blowing up, due to sub tolerence main bearing shells that shift and the engine implodes. So best not push your luck with them!!

I was going to get the bearing shells swapped out. But plans have changed but now my mulla situation is abit tight. So will do it the next sevice.

They wont let you onto the track if any warning lights are on...

Last year I took a friends Audi A4 3.0 Litre Quattro to Killarney. As we entered the track the replace pads sign came on. Pic below:

When they looked at the car for its pre track check they refused to let it on even though the brakes were still perfectly ok and the light had only come on 15 minutes earlier.

Get it all sorted. :)

P.S - is this yours?
