These 2 seem to be abunandtly available.
Apart from the obvious difference of the 20 pin plug being for the earlier models. My E39 is a '98 model, and I should therefore get the 20 pin tool.
On reading my hand book for the car, it appears that it also has an indicator in the shape of a clock that warns you to change the brake fluid, similar to the clock on the later tool.
My question is this: what is the extra button for on the later reset tool - the yellow button? Is it for the brake flud indicator?
Must I get the later tool with the adaptor?
