Different brand Tyres (Rear and Front)

hey guys
what will happen if i have pirellies 255 x 35 x 18s at the rear
and Brindgestones in front
will that affect the car in anyway or mp

nope, it wont affect the mplan, acording to what the BMW okey told me, as long as you ahve the same brand tyres at either back or front and they are BMW approved, it is fine.

Yes Pirellis are BMW approved, dependant on model of the tyre, i know alot of my friends with E90's have put on Pirelli's

The car will feel a little "unstable" if you have different thread patterns on the front than the rear. The car will feel if it's "floating", especially where the road surface is less than perfect, i.e. ruts etc. Also more "loose" on the road in cross-winds.

I had that problem on my E36 328i Ind and also earlier this year on my E90 330i. Once changed to same tyres all round it felt perfectly stable again.
