Hi guys,

I am interested in the differences between the M-Sport and the M-Performance F30's.

Apart from the obvious visuals, does anyone know of any other differences?
Are there performance differences? Shock differences etc?

The M Pack just refers to the body kit added to the car. There are also M Performance exhausts as an optional extra to the optional extra (for 328 and 335) and M Performance Power Kit (335) but those are available to non M Pack cars as well.

Damn so confusing.... they just need to be like Jag or Lexus, high class and low class.... then again... that's why they are Jags and lexus:roflol:

M Perfomance package = M Sport Package + 19” M Sport alloys, M Sport brakes, side sills, carbon rear spoiler, carbon wing mirror caps, front black grille and aerodynamic package (front and rear).

Exclusive options include 20 inch wheels, exhaust system on 328/335, stripes, special colours and power kit on 320d/330d/335 models.

Thanks for the feedback guys...

Im getting my M-Sport with the M-Performance visual stuff added... So the front lip, side sills, carbon rear spoiler, black kidney grills and the 20" wheels.

Im reading that the M-Performance from factory also has a 10mm drop on the suspension compared to that of the M-Sport suspension... interesting

I have an F10, but the design principle is the same.

I have the M Sport pack as well as Performance power kit, but I agree that it would be better if BMW simplified all of this.

That's if it's fitted with "Mperformance chassis" which is essentially dampers n lowered springs.

Guys

This is an interesting read.
The F30s come in 3 trim finishes:
Sport- looks fairly stock with large wheels
Elegance- chrome window surrounds and some stuff going on in the front vents
Modern.... I think... Looks stock

Basically all look very similar and nothing too special

M sport :

Then, with more aggressive front, rear bumper and apron design comes the m sport model.
This includes sport designed seats as well.
Thicker steering and some badging on side sills.
Comes stock with 18s or multispoke 19' diamond cuts as an upgrade

BMW Performance Parts:
This is a catalogue of CF and CRP ( unpainted) , I think
You can choose from front splitters to rear diffusers as well as side apron extenders and boot spoilers.
These parts will only fit on M Sport models..... CF mirror covers fit any model.
The power kit and spring set and muffler system are part of the BMW Performance part catalogue.

20' inch wheels are part of the catalogue too.

All performance parts can be fitted on purchase or bought and fitted whenever you want.

Hope that helps clarify

So the M Performance Chassis is optional on with the M Performance line? And optional with the M Performance M Pack? So I own what, like half a M Performance line? I just whish, when you buy a BMW with lets say a M Performance line, it comes with all the options... not just 1/2 of them...

Missing my fully specced French cars...

French cars also tend to miss some pieces as well... but not from the show room floor, usually after some mileage :tiptoe:

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is very funny but not really true. French build quality is really exceptional. Unfortunately, their products are let down by very poor aftersales service. VERY Poor!

Hahaha yeah :D!

I've only had experiences with 2 Renaults and the build quality in my lego houses when I was 2 yrs old was better. Also there was less plastic inside my toy box than inside the Renaults....

But I cant speak for the new ones.

Anyways back to F30's. :cartel:
