Diesel downpipes

Anyone locally selling/importing bolt-on diesel downpipes. (I'm aware that many exhaust places can fabricate one, which will be my back-up option if I can't find a bolt-on version)

I'm specifically looking for one for my xDrive40d, as part of long term preventative maintenance (to get rid of the DPF).

It appears that even though the car has 2 turbo's, it still uses the same downpipe as most of the other cars. As an example, here is the one from Wagner:

Wagner Downpipe

The Wagner-Tuning Decat fits to following models with N57 engine:

3er / 3-series; E90,91,92,93 325d,330d(x) 2007-2013 180 KW
3er / 3-series; F30,31,34GT 330d(x) 2011-2016 190 KW
5er / 5-series; F10,11,07GT 525d, 530d(x) 2010-2011 150-190 KW
7er / 7-series; F01,02 730d, 740d(x) 2007-2012 180-230 KW
7er / 7-series; F01,02 (LCI) 730d(x) 2011-2015 190 KW
X3 / F25 30d(x) 2009-2016 190 KW
X4 / F26 30d(x) 2013-2016 190 KW
X5 / E70 LCI 30d(x), 40d(x) 2009-2013 180-225 KW
X6 / E71 30d(x), 40d(x) 2009-2014 180-225 KW

Replacement for OEM BMW Part# 18308511143

Please send me a PM if you are aware of anyone selling these.

You are right Mo, it only has one Cat/DPF. The smaller Turbo's outlet connects to the bigger Turbo's outlet and then to the DP.

Please update when you do this. I have a 2011 E70 40d and would like to do the same.

I have noticed that certain exhaust shops are very hesitant about doing a DP for f30 320d, saying that if the sensor placement on the new DP is slightly off position it would adversely affect the car. Is this a valid concern?

I've had a bit of good and bad experiences with places building exhausts and downpipes. On previous cars, I've caught out places that intentionally damaged, cut or swapped sensors, so they could sell software afterwards to get rid of errors (on cars that still function without cats/dpfs). On the newer models though, it does appear to require a software over-ride when the DPF is out, which almost 90% of "standard performance software" includes in their files.

I'm not in a rush - if I can't find a bolt-on DP, I'll go to one of my trusted exhaust shops to get one built.

My dad has a X5 40d. We did the software and downpipes. Downpipes done at JR Exhaust on Ontdekkers road. M/plan expired a year ago and no problems. Made a big difference in the performance and responsiveness. No warning lights ever came on. Got about 30kw and 50-60nm increase at the crank. Its as quick now as a stock E90 330d facelift. Leaves Golf 6 GTI's comfortably, despite weighing 2.2 tons. :cartel:
