Diesel boosters

Hey Guys

I was busy searching for any proof that cetane boosters actually boost power on diesels. Yes yes i know, if you want more power, buy a stronger car blah blah, but... is there actually any dyno proof?

i searched a little and found this...

http://www.nfadditives.co.za/Max-My-Ride-Tests-NF.php

but in the end they loaded another map which actually makes that test useless :hammerhead:
And the initial second run after adding teh additive actually only yielded 1 kw more, and less torque.

So should we rather just save our 100 odd rand, rather than using this say if you want to try get those few kw's more to beat your friend at the next dyno day?

I've tested a few of these but not on the dyno though but more like butt dyno...NF is a total waste of money...could not feel any difference.
Then I tried VP Race fuel Cetane....R400 a bottle but was it worth it? Only if you get the mixture right....Now I cant say wether I gained kw or not but my car surely came much more alive with it.
The acceleration was waaaayyyyy better and throttle response on another level.
An example is that at Killarney I beat 13 second cars whole night and i was a 14 second car
Fetching an E92 M in 4th gear was the result as well on my way home that same night
But like I said....the mixture have to be spot on.
A bit expensive as well.
So the VP Cetane gets a thumpsup from me

thanks for the feedback. would love to feel the power at torque of a 14 or 13 second diesel :clapper:

i have been eyeing out LiquiMoly SpeedTec which ranges around the R150 mark.

would be keen to have actual dyno results though.
