Diesel Additives/cleaner question

Hi,

Any recommended diesel additives/cleaners I can add to keep my X5 3.0D to keep her (esp injectors) in good condition. Also, where can I get them.

Had 2 injectors cleaned about 5000KM's ago, and just want to ensure they stay clean, as car is running 100% at the moment.

Thanx

Redex injector cleaner.

Where can I get it?

Also, do you know if it's good for an overall engine clean, besides the injectors - or am I looking for an overall "one size fits all" cleaner that does not exist?

Alot of discussion on this subject on teh 4x4 forum I belong too. The concensus there is that two stroke oil is the answer. Not so much to clean but it adds lubrication to the injector parts. Cleaner diesel means less lubricating qualities AFAIK.

Hey there

Give the folks at SOS Oil a call on 021 448 5564

They stock Liqui Moly and I recommend the Liqui Moly Diesel Anti Knock Additive 100%.

The additive is designed specifically for diesel engines and works extremely well. The additive is also a Cetane booster for diesel and we have had many customers who use the additive every 3000 to 4000km and at a price of around R60 per dosage it is well worth it.

South Africa's diesel are verry bad comparred to diesel overseas.
I have sold my diesel after spending approx. 30000 fixing pump and injectors.
