Did anyone know about the new M3 getting a facelift?

Disagree... Good design is timeless.. look at porsche.
The whole crap about changing the whole look of a car with every generation is simply a marketing ploy to reduce the price of older models and discourage re-sales of 2nd hand cars by pushing this whole "newer look" crap.... the fact is design isn't moving forward into the future.. design principles have hardly changed in 100's of years.. it's just that as a different look is pushed on us and marketed to us, we are persuaded to belief that other looks are suddenly "old" when in fact they aren't. The e46 is an example of timeless design, just like the E30... the E90 will age terrible as, I believe, it as 3 dimensional testament to Chris Bangle's terrible self image and nervous demeanor. It is not a bold design resolution like the E46, it is a series of fiddly ideas, brought together in an inhomogeneous whole.
Listen to the way people talk about the E90 being "good from this angle".. I mean please.. the E46 is stunning from every angle. I have yet to see someone walk past an 90-series M3 and go WOOOAAAHHH!!! like they do with the E46.... I still see the reaction of people to my car on a daily basis and I've observed the new M3 driving down a busy street without attatracting even a sidelong glance... my car follows a couple of meters behind and young boys and old men together stop and give me that silly grin which says "Rev that puppy"
For me the E90 is BMW's golf 3.. it's a pander to the masses and a loss of identity. It's a skeleton of germanic power and tech in a body of American compromise. Everyone can make a mistake and BMW is NOT infallible. I believe that Bangles was their mistake.. look at those silly eyes on the new 5... the awkward and weak lines on the new 3, the HIDEOUS first attempt he made of the 7... and some people credit the Z4 and the 6 series as his crowning glories? except that they were designed by Hooydink...(how do you spell it?) and NOT Bangles.... so even Bangles's good cars weren't his cars.
No.. i stand by my belief... I will buy and modify old E46's until bimmer moves on from the E90 series and hopefully gives us a new 3 which has the brutish masculinity which IS BMW!!!
