Diagnose This!!!

Hey

If i pull off and accelerate hard my car moves like it should.........I then change to 2nd and continue accelerating hard and all is fine.....I then change to 3rd and accelerate hard and revs stay at about 4000rpm and you can hear the engine revving up but the car goes nowhere.....same with 4th and 5th.......It basically feels like the back wheels are just spinning. Hope that makes sense.....

if it's a manual, it sounds like a clutch.

once had a clutch that still lets me spin the wheels in 1st and 2nd gear but starts slipping in high gears

Sounds like clutch.. had similar on our Pajero 2.5 TD.. 1st & 2nd & 3rd was fine but when in 4th the revs climbed & speed did not

when going though the gears hard like that and the clutch is slipping slightly it can overheat and not bite...
it could also be the hydrophilic fluid/pipes

Correct, that would be from the stealers. Mech told me that when he previously had to fit one on another vehicle, he tried another make but it didn't work as some of the holes on the flywheel didn't line up and crap like that.

Will get an exact quote later today from stealers and then take it from there.

Or if you guys know of where i could possibly try other than the stealers, then please point me in the right direction.

Well the flywheel and clutch should be LUK or sachs, not sure, so at least go to a clutch shop that sells these brands and hear if they can get it, I would try my best not to buy something like this from the dealers.
For my car clutch kit from the dealers - R5k, from a clutch shop - around R2.3k.
