Dent Magic or Panel Shop?

Thanks to a shopping trolley I have a nasty scratch on my passenger side back door. Can anyone recommend a good panel shop?

I was considering Dent Magic, but they said that they will have to spray the whole door panel. I'm not confident that they can do a perfect colour match so I'm looking for some advice.

Maybe post a pic. There's some guys that do detailing on this forum and they may be able to remove it or at least make it look a bit better without respraying.

I can't attach the pic. I get an error stating that the attachment is in the wrong format. I tried attaching jpeg and png image files.
Anyways I'm going to take the car here for a quote:

Please keep us updated, as I am also feverishly looking for a half-decent, non-bankrupting shop. Seems it's easier to get pregnant on this forum than advice on good paint shops...

Picard, I had a bumper resprayed at the shop as you drive towards that BMW repair centre in Parow. They did a decent job for not a lot of of money. It's just across from Boss motor spares, a BMW breaker shop.

I assume you are referring to Dent Doctor or Auto Magic.

Both these two franchises specialize mostly in NSR or non strucutral repair, meaning that they focus on cosmetics, some of the Dent Doctors are MSR or Major structural, but most do touch ups.

Both have fairly stringent requirements for paints used, as well as a high customer satisfaction requirment by the francisor, so I can recommend both.

For issues I am not willing to discuss, and my own personal opinion, Dent Doctor is a far better brand then Automagic.

I'll give you the phone number for the franchisor...

Thanks for all the input and advice. I got 3 quotes:
A - Forsdicks Tygervalley Approved Repair Centre - R 8 100
B - Barloworld panel shop - R 4 100
C - Dent Magic - R 3 000

I'm inclined to go with the most expensive one, because I want a perfect job. They are an approved repair center and I suppose that you get what you pay for. They said they would spray both doors as well as a portion of the rear fender to 'fade' the new colour with the existing colour.

I'll let you guys know how it goes. As I said, I'm expecting perfection for that kind of money.

I got my car back 2 weeks ago and must say that they done a perfect job. I was very happy with the service and the quality of workmanship. I can't see any trace of the dent that once was in my door, and the tone of the new coat of paint blends beautifully. So I'm very happy and I would definitely recommend them to the members on this forum. I'll post some pics of my car as soon as I get a chance.
