Hey guys

Just wanted to update my cars thread. Finished off with the cosmetic bits for now. Fitted the carbon splitters in the front.

Here are some random pics of the car. Also decided on fitting the same rear tyres as before. Bridgestone s001. Hopefully traction will be alot better now.

Mods, can you please rename my thread to Dees 335i?

Thanks guys. Fitted the splitters over the complete front lip as my wife uses the car. And with the lip it lowers the front quite a bit. I've seen alot of broken lips on other 3 series.

I've also fitted a dp. Car sounds awesome. No drone but enough noise when you want it. Outside the car sounds awesome, inside the cabin it sounds almost stock. No real loud noises but you get that nice deep tone. With just the m performance back box it was still too quiet in the cabin

Just an update guys

Put the car on the rollers yesterday, car kept spinning and changing gear on the dyno. 2 of us had to sit on the boot to try hold the back down. Ended up with the following figures. Plus some shots of my car from a shoot

So out of curiosity, I went to another dyno just to see what the car would make there.

It really is amazing how different reading can vary from dyno to dyno. My car was run twice at the other dyno. Readings are at the wheels

1st run - 248kw 452nm
2nd run - 247kw 460nm

The other dyno my car made 228kw 426nm at the wheels. That's quite a difference between the dynos.

Here's my graph from the dyno I did yesterday

Indeed there is a lot of variability in runs, I always see temperature play a big role too, and also on the road. Good power here that seems more like PPK power to me! :coolShake:

In the winter the car is much more alive. On Friday morning past it was -4 degrees and yes the car pulled well once warmed up. Cooler air = happy N55

Yeah true bud. The first dyno I was on has the reputation of being extremely stingy. I guess hence the lower figures. My car definitely feels alot stronger than 228kw on the road.

I would love for my car to take in some really cold air. Waiting for some cold nights to see how it goes :tiptoe:

So it's been a while since I updated my thread. Since my last post there has been a few changes. I had JB4 on my car and it made 265kw 540nm on map 2, this was with Jb4, downpipe and mpe. My car is now out of plan and I have removed the Jb4. I've since added the following:

Bootmod3 Stg 2
Charge pipe
Mid pipe
Bms intake
Evo 2 intercooler
Oem 437 M wheels wrapped in Goodyear F1 Supersports

My carbon M mirror caps clear coat started to peel so I removed them and am busy rubbing the clear out and will recoat. So fitted the oem caps back. Haven't put the car on the dyno since the additional mods but it drives well.

Have also coded some stuff with bimmercode. Hardly drive the car. It sits in the garage most of the time. It just makes the pleasure of driving it even better whenever I do use it. I feel it's aged well, mileage is still low so will be keeping it for a while.
