The mighty Nissan GTR, a.k.a Godzilla, is still of the most feared cars on the road ever since it's introduction back in 2009. Six years on, and it has become an engineering masterclass.
When we received a call saying that there was a Nissan GTR Black Edition in dire need of a paint correction, we regrouped for an inspection of the vehicle. There it was, a Deep Blue Pearl GTR. However, upon closer inspection...
We got started immediately, knowing that we had our work cut out for us. After a full wash, comprising:
-Auto Finesse Snowfoam
-Auto Finesse Luxury Shampoo
-Auto Finesse Wheel Shampoo
-Clay decontamination step
-The usual assortment of wheel and fender brushes
Hereafter, out came the three Amigos: the Flex, the Big Foot and the Small Foot:rollsmile:. We taped up a few panels, assessed our test spots, and found that Scholl S17 with Scholl White Spider Sandwich Pads were the way forward, however at a moderate speed on the machines, and in doing so, not being too aggressive on the relatively soft paint of the GTR.
Here are a couple of 50/50 shots, showing whopping discrepancies...
The trims and exhaust tips received some treatment...
Auto Finesse Tough Prep was applied to clean the front end's protective film. The GTR was finished off with Auto Finesse Tough Prep, Auto Finesse Power Seal and Auto Finesse Passion Wax to seal in all the freshness...
Some Flake...
Enjoy!
A special thanks goes out to:
-Azhar, Wesley, Dave, Rowen and Fuzz for all their tireless work
-Platinum Wheels for allowing us the opportunity to work on this beaut
-You, for your time and effort in reading this post
:blowheart:
