Decided to flare fenders on 335

Took the plunge and flared the fenders to make the 20s Vossens fit properly that was still causing some rubbing on the rear and front even after the fenders were rolled in. On a stock suspension I cant see the need for rolling or flaring the fenders on 20s with the correct off-set. But with a lowered suspension some work had to be done. After the fenders were rolled in the wheel would hit just above where the fender was tucked in; so flaring it was the only option or going the aftermarket route.

I was very uncertain about how this would turn out. After a couple of weeks and R5,700 later the job was done and here is the result. I am very pleased to say the least. :joy:

Took pix of various angles to give you an idea.

OTHER FENDER CONVERSION OPTIONS:

Raiding the M3 e92 for OEM fenders is always a good start. :=):

Quick comments:
I think the part numbers for the M3 rear fender and 335 rear fenders are the same even though they look completely different. Very weird. The m3 e90 fender front and rear will fit the e90 335, it just won't meet up with the wider front bumper. However, if you replace the front bumper and both fenders it should fit, but you may have issues with the bonnet since the overall shape is different and may not align. The mounting points on the 335 fender is not the same as the M3 either, so this conversion may turn out costly.

The other big concern is the fender well liners because the stock ones are not going to fit on the M3 fenders. And the underpanels will have to be replaced as well if you do this.

Or you can look at Duke Dynamics which Rennzport promotes:

Or look at these options...not sure about the quality: Bodykits

Nice work - looks perfect, let's just say that over and above the Vossens, your cars got that little something special about it.
Re the M3 bits- that sounds like a lot of work and faffing about.
You speak of the M3 rear arches... Would that be the complete quarter panel?

Looks awesome!

With regards to the front fender conversion, am I correct in saying if doing it on a 4 door you have to change the lights as well?

Doesn't the 4 door m3 have e92 lights and grill etc?

The nicest customs touches too a car is when you need to take a second look to see what's been changed or you need to compare it side by side to a stock car to see what's exactly been done....

As per usual , you seem to have a Midas touch on your car Twinz, the day you sell this for your forced induction m3, you gonna make some guys dreams come through :inlove:

Can I take a chance on this one. Only the e92 doesn't share it's body panels with other models in the range , which would mean that the e90 has the flared front and rear arches only. No need for light change.
I'm using this info from e90 m3 conversion kits used up in the UK .
Only front rear arches and fenders, skirts and bulged bonnet supplied
Stand corrected

That's correct symmat.
The sedan m3 uses the coupe front end.. So its a big job.
