Of course it will be in the 5er. Not a chance I'm taking an even bigger ship. We'll go via Bloemfontein, Graaf Reinet, etc

Yeah for me that's the best route. Beaufort West has average speed prosecution on every route in and out now, and the roads weren't so lekker last time I went through.

From Howick yeah, I'll go down, few days at home, 5er will probably need a service by then, then hit the road for the cape

I will probably need two new tyres for the rear before I do any long distance travelling. Somehow there's always something expensive the car needs right before the bloody holidays...


2013 it was a service and rear tyres.
2014 it was the turbo and that bloody accident.
2015, fuel pump and tyres again...


I think the car knows it's Christmas time and thinks I'm Santa...
