Does anyone know where I can go in Cape Town to do a de-cat and any other modifications to my E46 330i steptronic?

Powerflow in the Southern Suburbs did both my X5 and 325. The 325 cost was R500 and the X5 needed two foolers as well so it came to around R2300 IIRC. Both run perfectly, no warning lights and no funny exhaust sounds or droning. In fact, both sound crisper and nicer to me. Definitely not noisier and there's no droning at any speed or throttle setting either.

i just decat my 318ti about 10mins ago. . . they put a silence box where the cat was...

Is it normal that my car is smoking white after they do it ? Even my exhaust is white inside.

quite often there is stuff in the new bits that has to burn off... should burn off after a few hours of driving... if not you have a problem...

so are we saying decat is better money wise or performance wise?

both

completely depends on the car if its an M3 decat is definitely the way to go :) e46 323/328i have a pretty bad exhaust so then a a full system makes sense...
