A run has also been mentioned as a possibility for a year end thing.

I think a Braai & get together is an awesome idea.. But maybe a run out to Harties & braai at one of those resorts that allows day visitors thats on the side of the dam

Gents, I have a 30th coming up, and was actually considering a year end potjie/braai at my place, so I am volenteering a venue

I do however like the idea of a hartjies run, only issue is road blocks during that time will be brutal (and not fruity)

How about a venue in JHB North, where we can go braai for the day. I am thinking from Fourways to Northgate somewhere maybe. I think that's more or less central enough for the JHB and PTA guys.

It's like LZ said about roadblocks, Coisman is going to "Skiet die Bliksems" with some beer in the system driving back home. I like the idea of Harties, but face it gents, what is a braai without a drink or two? I really think it's safer closer to home for now, even if we stay sober the other road users might not.

This is just my 2c worth. I will try and join it depends on the date, as I am working the 12th and the 5th we are having a party for the 2 sons birthday's. I am open the 4th upto 16:00 and can take leave for the 11th. The 18th and 19th I am not working at all.

So why dont all of you Gauteng guys drive down to Mpumalanga...?? We can head to Badplass Forever Resort, beautiful facilities, braais, super tubes, paintball, go carts, 'The Rinkals', game drives, Spa...etc...All for R80 p/p. Those who want to make a weekend off it, there is campsites, bungalows etc. :dunno:
