Dealerships that offer discounts on parts?

So Ive been reading a couple of threads where people say they get discounts from dealers on parts. So a few questions...

1. Which dealers are the best/easiest to get discounts?
2. What percentage do you get? Is it different depending on the type of part?
3. Is it on all parts, or only certain items? eg only on service items or accessories?

I didn't even ask for it. The salesman said he was in a good mood and that he would be giving me discount.

SMG PMB got a R50 discount on a tensioner pulley which was R490,I asked and was given.:rollsmile:

they always try and give me a better price.... my e46 M Brake Discs worked out to 6000 for the front set, i paid R5000.00, they even rounded the price up for me


among other numerous parts that i buy from them, they always try and give a discount

normally there is some discount on parts if you ask for it, but apparently the normal service items are difficult to get a discount for.

I get between 10 and 30% discount depending on the type of parts. Its best to just ask and see what you get.

Agreed. Most dealerships seem to overcharge on an already outrageous price
