DEALER STEALERS PRICES F...... RIDICULOUS

So these are the prices I got from a BMW dealer today for parts:

335i N55 POWER PERFORMANCE KIT- R31 508.21 INC.
335i FULL PERFORMANCE EXHAUST N54 (APPARENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR N55 YET- R24 885.52 INC.
CARBON KIT FOR INTERIOR- R18 698.92

& ALL THESE PRICES EXCLUDE FITTING.

WTF...this is just a total RIP OFF!!

AC Schnitzer is even more expensive at JSN, just the back box is 27k, the entire motorplan isn't even worth the total amount of the parts...

When I got my car 2 weeks ago, the dude from the dealer told me that the performance parts' prices will come down by about 50% soon... dunno if it was just a sales ploy, but maybe it's worth looking into?

Just so you know the BMW performance exhaust system is made from a metal that can only be found in burnt out suns that have burnt through their H, He and C-O stages to form metal at their cores, BMW then mine this to make performance exhausts and boxes. This justifies the price a bit.

Jip BMW spare prices are coming down. I also e-mail BMW SA and asked them in June this year why is it cheaper for me to import some parts OEM than buying them at the agents. Never got en reply but when I baught an oil filter last week it was cheaper and the guy at auto atlantic said to me prices are coming down. I dont think 50% but maybe 20%

they do this every year where their prices drop drastically but 50% is abit much but it is a drastic reduction non the less, had this experience last year where a part cost over 2k at the beginning of the year i picked it up for 1.2k the same year at the same dealer.

but upping performance on cars still on motorplan is tricky and you need a fair amount of depth in your pockets.

cars of motorplan muucccchhh cheaper to mod i inquired about style 225 wheels and tyres from the dealer and the price was something ridiculous like R38K with out fitting

went to my local mag shop they had a set with tyres they wanted 19K + fitment and alignment

Nah the most reasonable offer they will probably be able to make you with the new price cuts will be around R50k, so it is still cheaper to just buy yourself a decent e36, melt it down and mould it into a new dash for the e30.
