Date of Test on license disk ? What is this ?

Hi Guys ,
I do apologize , this might sound like a stupid question but I have to ask , On a cars license disk , There a sentence marked , Date of test . I have seen this on other cars disks , and there is sometimes a date written below it and sometimes not.

What is this Test? On both my E30 and my E46 and on the Merc , Haven't checked the F30 , i don't have any dates on there its always been blank .

Is it a roadworthy test ? If you purchase a car second hand? and re-register it?

Roadworthy test, brand new cars don't have any dates.

Brand New cars/ one owner cars wont have a date. Good way to check if the car is a one owner car or not if car shopping
