Why does comfort access have a mind of its own? I had replaced the remote battery twice and aside from having the key recoded, which I did already what else can be done?

What exactly is it doing?

Randomly every now and then it will set off the alarm if I open the boot without using the key fob. Tonight leaving the office I walked up to the car tried to open the boot but nothing happened then tried using central locking and still nothing. So I used the valet key to open the driver door. Tried opening the boot still Niks. Had to ur the boot release inside the car to open the boot. This happens randomly and not very often. Could it be the battery?
