D vs DS on Auto 320d

Hi Guys

I have had my 320d for a little while and its my first automatic car

I have been driving it in normal D setting on the gearbox and I find it a bit frustrating sometimes when I am cruising around town it gets bogged down and takes long to gear down and I end up flooring it then I get this huge boost in speed then you end up stamping on the breaks

I know its something to get used to but I put it on DS today and it's a lot better it does not get bogged down anymore the revs are always in the booste and its much more responsive. Does anyone use DS the all the time if you do does it have a significant impact on fuel consumption?

Thanks

I use mine on DS 90% of the time

Mostly use it on D when I use the cruise control on the open road. Otherwise its DS all the time

What type of fuel consumption do you get?

Between 7.5-9.5 l/100km

But bear in mind that I have a hard driving style

Is there any other way to drive this car.

I am getting about 8.5 now I will start using DS more. That D setting is just killing me a bit everyday

Pitty its not a button that you turn on like most other autos you have to shift the lever to the left the whole time.

I drive mine in DS all the time. I fitted a sprintbooster which increases throttle response and it's a pleasure, hope this helps.
