We have removed the cylinder head to do the whole head gasket set.
The main purpose of this was to replace the valve stem seals. They are leaking oil into the combustion chamber.
Another issue was the injectors and their cleanliness. I will clean them in an ultrasonic bath and test their performance on the ASNU Benzine injectors test bench. That should sort them out.
I will also open the Air Flow meter to see if it shows any signs of wear/dirt.
Below are some pics of the condition of the engine cylinder head, injectors, bore and valves. Inlet valve deposits can be seen on all of the valves, but they aren't so bad. The purpose is to clean all these parts and restore them before assembly.
I will also post pics o the clutch set up when we open the gearbox later on. :confused
