csl cams for normall m3 e46

so i was offered a set of csl cams to fit on my m3 e46,
apparently im looking at about a 15 to 20kw on the fly increase.
Do u guys know or heard of this ,what u guys suggest? Go for it or leav it.?

I doubt its true. The standard M3 was 252kw, and the CSL was 265kw, I think, there are more differences than just cams between the two cars, so i dont see how just changing the cams will put you above the CSL. I dont even think there is a difference between the cams.

Nah, there is a power difference from different intake and a couple other bits, I cannot tell you exactly what, Im not an expert on the CSL.

The CSL had different cams, aswell as intake, Alpha N system for the intake instead of the normal MAF on the E46 M3. There are a host of other differences but ye, Cams alone will not give you that sort of power increase. Also with those cams you are going to have to get a remap done with a higher redline (mine is at 8500 rpm, thanks Xcede) to take advantage of them properly. I would stay away.

2004.smg. Just had xcede software done, with decat,tms intake,tms puleys

amd i must say it a hole new kar. Reving smooth,n if u give it gas the ting revs dam hard realy impresd with the outcome. Had it done down in dbn

i did get the shrick cams tho.but didnt fit them on. Koz u nead to shim the head. Stil got them dont knw if i should go ahead with them. Or leav it ot. If i do put the shrick kams (280,272 duration) wil i nead ta remap again?

There is an Exede E46 //M3 with cams, and yes, they have a map for the E46 M3 with cams!

yes it is.realy awesome man.u tink d kams make a gud enuf diff? What cams are they running.

Just not sure about shiming d head n if d kams will work for the kar
