Crocodile Gorge ride at Ratanga is closing down

If Crocodile Gorge is one of your favorite rides, this weekend is your last chance.
They are closing it down and demolishing it from next week.

The next ride to be closed down is the Devil Run train ride, it closes in April.

Within the next 5 years Ratanga will be gone. The entertainment hall might stay

ai. if only they can find a way to run this business properly and they can make it work... perhaps that section is cursed, dockside superclub...it also closed down... for years now they been talking about / threatening to close ratanga...

Our partners own Ratanga... When they took it over years ago from Nedbank they ran it properly and made it come "alive" again like it was about 10 years ago.
The land that Ratanga is situated on is the most valuable piece of land in Century City.
We are putting Conference Centres in place of Crocodile George, Slingshot and the Devil Run rides. The rest of the Ratanga land will be commercial property

They moved the Slingshot just now

And the plane from Crocodile George, which will be moved to the bank (in bottom pic). Look to the right of the SA flag there's a concrete block, the plane is going there.
The 2 new sand banks is where the Slingshot is going

man, i have had some epic times at Ratanga! Very sad!

yeah Gold reef sucks balls. last two times i went there you cant get in, like 100 buses of miniature school kids just going nuts

I'm guessing they will put up more office blocks / apartments... Century city is starting to look like a concrete jungle. The traffic situation is also not good
