We had a problem with the idle, the car would just shut off sometimes while driving. Had an incident where the car shut off whilst taking a corner, and suddenly no power steering. EEEEK.
So, we found out the ECU was having a hard time setting the fuel mixture for the idle and then changing it for when driving. The 440cc injectors are over fueling and killing the engine. Also, fuel consumption when sitting at a Robot just flies through the roof.
Ross discovered that the old 99' e46 ECU's lowest setting for the fuel injectors is 0.9 milliseconds. So he needed to install a 3rd party piece of hardware which allows the injectors to fire at 0.6 milliseconds
He has been rewriting the tune for the car from the ground up, as there are no maps for the e46 323i for supercharged conversions....
So... that being said, he expects us to do more than the 200kw @ the fly / 156kw @ the wheels when the car is re tuned.
He says it will only be ready by Monday.
Oh well... waiting game...
